Nushrratt Bharuccha, who is recovering after suffering a spinal fracture during a trip to Bali, has appeared in a new video from the hospital. The actress can be seen sitting up on her hospital bed while members of the medical staff help her with a meal. Despite the difficult few days she has had, Nushrratt is seen smiling and interacting with the nurses around her.
There was also a familiar Bollywood presence keeping her company. A television in the room was playing Gerua, the Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol song from Dilwale. The track, composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh and Antara Mitra, could be seen playing as the camera panned around her hospital room.
Nushrratt Bharuccha Smiles As Nurse Feeds Her
In the video shared by Mamaraazzi, Nushrratt is dressed in hospital clothing and seated upright with a blanket draped over her. An IV line can also be seen attached to her hand.
A nurse feeds her while another member of the medical staff stands nearby. Nushrratt smiles during the interaction and appears to be chatting with them between bites.
The clip then turns towards the television mounted across the room, where Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol can be seen in Gerua from Rohit Shetty’s 2015 film Dilwale. The romantic track plays in the background as Nushrratt continues her meal.
The video is one of the clearest glimpses of the actress since she was hospitalised following her spinal injury.
Actress Was Airlifted From Bali To Mumbai
Nushrratt suffered a fracture in her spine while she was in Bali for a work-cum-holiday trip earlier this month. Her publicist confirmed at the time that she had been admitted to a hospital in Bali and kept under medical observation.
After doctors evaluated her condition, arrangements were made to fly her back to Mumbai by air ambulance for further treatment. Visuals from her arrival on October 2 showed the actress being transported on a stretcher before she was taken to the hospital. Her team had also requested privacy as she underwent treatment and began her recovery.
Reports subsequently said that Nushrratt underwent spine surgery in Mumbai and was advised rest during the recovery period.
‘Picture Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Dost’
Before the latest hospital video surfaced, Nushrratt had shared her first update following the injury through an Instagram Story.
She posted a picture from the hospital showing a reclining wheelchair positioned near a window overlooking the sunset.
“Been chasing sunsets forever, And just like that.. my view changed. But, Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost,” she wrote with the photograph.
The post came days after she was flown back to India for treatment. Details about the precise circumstances of the accident and the exact nature of the spinal fracture have not been publicly disclosed by her team.
Her latest video, however, shows Nushrratt awake, smiling and spending time with the medical staff as she continues recovering in the hospital, with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s Gerua providing the soundtrack in the background.
