Bigg Boss 20 contestant Uditi Singh has revealed that her parents were unhappy about her relationship with actor Karan Wahi, partly because of their 10-year age gap. She also recalled travelling from London to Mumbai to meet Karan and said the relationship eventually became known to her family through his social media post.
Uditi shared the details while speaking to fellow Bigg Boss 20 contestants Gullu and Aman Gandhi. She also recalled meeting Ranbir Kapoor through Karan, who used to play football with other actors.
Uditi Singh recalls dating Karan Wahi
Uditi said she initially travelled to Mumbai to meet Karan, who was then her boyfriend. She explained that she knew several actors through him and was particularly excited to meet Ranbir because she was already a fan.
“Firstly I came to meet my ex because he played football with all these actors, Abhishek, Ranbir and all. So I met Ranbir because I used to be a fan. Toh usse mila tha (So I met him). I used to come to Bombay to meet him. But he was so popular, usne story daal di (he put up a story). My mother didn’t like the relationship kyunki das saal ka gap tha (because there was a 10-year age gap), my parents didn’t like ki main actor ko date karun (that I was dating an actor).”
Uditi said she had travelled from London to Mumbai without telling her family. However, Karan’s social media post eventually gave her parents an indication that she was in a relationship with him.

According to Uditi, her mother was upset after learning about the relationship. The age difference was one of the reasons her parents were uncomfortable, while Karan being an actor was another concern for them.

Uditi recalled that Karan’s connection with several actors gave her an opportunity to meet Ranbir Kapoor. She said she had been a fan of the actor and remembered meeting him during her visits to Mumbai.
