According to a report by Variety India, discussions are underway to revive the popular franchise. Sol Productions, the production house behind the original show, is reportedly headlining it. While the possibility of a comeback has generated interest among fans, there is no official announcement from the makers yet.

According to the report, several aspects of the new proposed season are still being worked out. The show’s format, celebrity participants, judging panel and expected premiere date have not been confirmed so far.
The potential revival comes at a time when reality television continues to draw audiences across entertainment platforms. “Details are still being worked out. More information about the format, contestants and other aspects of the show will become clearer in due course,” a source told Variety India.
A Look Back At Nach Baliye
First launched in 2005, Nach Baliye became a familiar name in Indian television entertainment by bringing celebrity couples together to compete in dance challenges. Across its various seasons, the reality series featured television actors and other well-known personalities alongside their partners.
The inaugural season was won by Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar. Hussain Kuwajerwala and Tina Kuwajerwala emerged victorious in the second season, followed by Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh, who won the third edition. Shalin Bhanot and Dalljiet Kaur were the winners of the 4th season.
Over the years, Nach Baliye featured several prominent names on its judging panel, including Saroj Khan, Malaika Arora, Farhan Akhtar, Farah Khan and Shilpa Shetty. The show’s mix of celebrity participation, dance performances and familiar television personalities helped establish its place in the reality entertainment space.
The ninth season aired in 2019, and was judged by Raveena Tandon and Ahmed Khan and hosted by Manish Paul and Waluscha De Sousa. The season was won by Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary. A new season would mark the franchise’s return after a gap of several years.
Although the latest report points towards renewed efforts to bring the show back, the revival has not yet been officially confirmed by the makers.
