Aditya Dhar Cheers For Hanuman Ansh As Film Clocks ₹122 Crore In India
Vishal Chaturvedi’s Hanuman Ansh has been quite a surprise box office hit. The low budget film has already crossed Rs 120 crore in India and it is still growing. After Varun Dhawan lauded the film, now Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar has taken to Instagram to heap praises on Hanuman Ansh.
Sharing a poster of Hanuman Ansh on Instagram, Aditya showed his love for the film. He also added Om, love and folded hands emojis and tagged the movie’s director, Vishal Chaturvedi.
Take a look:
Earlier, Varun Dhawan had also shown his appreciation for Hanuman Ansh. He revealed that he had watched the film with his mother in a theatre. He wrote on Instagram, “Please go to the theatre and watch Hanuman Ansh. I just went with my mom, and it was an amazing experience. Take your parents, go with your friends. I highly recommend this film to everyone. No one had told me to make this video, neither had anyone called me; I just wanted to do this. I have had a connection with Lord Hanuman since childhood, but this is something else. This is a purely made film. I will not even call it a film; it’s something divine. You go and experience it.”
The actor further wrote, “Shobhinaw Satyaa ji is brilliant in the movie. What a performance. And Visha ji, the direction you did, hats off. Brilliant stuff. Please everyone go and watch the film.”
Varun is not the first Bollywood celebrity to recommend Hanuman Ansh. Kangana Ranaut had earlier praised the film and described it as a “satsang”. She also urged people to skip their therapy sessions and watch the film in theatres instead.
Vishal recently opened up about the response from Bollywood after Hanuman Ansh began doing well, saying that some industry personalities reached out to congratulate him despite having declined to support the film when he had approached them earlier.
In a recent podcast with Raunac, he said, “After the film started to do well, several people called me to congratulate me. I don’t want to name them. One of those who congratulated me was Madhur Bhandarkar, whom I had not asked for any support. However, I am not mentioning the others because I had sought help from those people, and they didn’t help me. Hence, I don’t want to name them for now, just because they are congratulating me.”
Hanuman Ansh was directed and produced by Vishal Chaturvedi under his banner Swambhu Media Network. The film is based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life, which chronicles the life of Neem Karoli Baba. Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand play the lead roles. The story follows Lakshmi Narayan, a young boy living in pre-Independence India who leaves home after his mother’s death in search of God. His journey across North India eventually leads to his transformation into Neem Karoli Baba.
Hanuman Ansh was made on a reported budget of Rs 2 crore.
