Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan left everyone concerned on Wednesday when he took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and informed that he has been advised to ‘rest and recover’. While Big B did not reveal details of his ailment, the post left fans worried for the actor.

“Apologies. I seek forgiveness. I have been advised to take a few days off to rest and recover, so I am unable to write anything at the moment,” Amitabh Bachchan wrote.

This comes a day after, Amitabh Bachchan also took to his official blog and shared that he has also been asked to restrict his communication. “First Dussehra greetings to all .. love happiness, fulfilment, prayers. Under very strict rest and recuperation .. so am not allowed to communicate .. do excuse .. my apologies,” he wrote and then added, “But do take this as my respected response .. more hopefully later.”

Amitabh Bachchan’s health concerns also come at a time when investigators believe that the men, who shot fires at Tiger Shroff’s car recently, initially explored the possibility of targeting other high-profile actors, including Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan. However, they concluded that carrying out attacks at their residences would not be easy. They allegedly shared photographs and videos of the locations they surveyed with gangster Anil Pandit, who is linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, seeking his guidance on their next move.

On the work front, Big B, who was last seen in Vettaiyan, directed by T. J. Gnanavel, is currently busy with filmmaker Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD sequel. The film also stars Kamal Haasan and Prabhas. Kalki 2898 AD is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a group of people sets out to save a woman pregnant with Lord Vishnu’s 10th and final avatar, Kalki, from an evil supreme god-king, Yaskin.

Besides this, Amitabh Bachchan is also hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 currently.
