7. Dhanush Fans Roll Out Free Auto Rides For Ayudha Pooja, Vijayadashami Amid Political Entry Buzz
Dhanush’s fans in Madurai have found a way to thank the actor for his support. Members of the Dhanush Welfare Movement will offer free auto rides to the public during Ayudha Pooja and Vijayadashami. They have also said they will support the actor if he decides to enter politics.
The auto drivers will use the vehicles that Dhanush gifted them on his 43rd birthday. According to the fans, the actor gave them the autos to help them earn a living. Marimuthu, district secretary of the Dhanush Welfare Movement, said the free rides would be their way of thanking the actor.

“We are driving the autos that Dhanush anna gave us on the occasion of his 43rd birthday to help those who are struggling. As a gesture of gratitude to him, we will be providing free rides on Vijayadashami and Ayudha Pooja for the poor and the elderly,” Marimuthu said.
The initiative will help elderly people, those from economically weaker backgrounds and children travelling on their first day of school.
The announcement comes amid growing speculation about Dhanush’s possible entry into politics. Marimuthu said the actor would decide whether he wanted to enter politics, but the fans would continue to support him regardless of his decision. “Dhanush anna will decide on his political entry. If he decides to enter politics, we will support him. Even if he doesn’t, we will continue to support him. We are his fans,” Marimuthu said.
The speculation comes after AIADMK leader and former Tamil Nadu minister Rajendra Balaji said his party would welcome Dhanush if he decided to join. Balaji made the remarks during a meeting with party members at the AIADMK’s Virudhunagar West District headquarters in Sivakasi. The meeting was held as part of the party’s 55th anniversary celebrations.
He said AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami was ready to welcome people who wanted to contribute to the party. Balaji also said Dhanush’s popularity could help him connect with young people.
The former minister said the party would welcome the actor with “open arms” if he chose to join. However, he made it clear that there was no confirmation about Dhanush’s political plans. “Only time will tell whether it is true or not,” he said.
Dhanush’s political future has also become a topic of discussion after his official fan club was renamed the Dhanush Narpani Iyakkam, or Dhanush Welfare Movement.
The change has drawn comparisons with actor Vijay, whose fan club was renamed the All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam in 2009, before his political journey. However, there is no confirmation that Dhanush plans to follow a similar path.
Dhanush has not made any public announcement about entering politics or joining the AIADMK.
