Ranbir Kapoor won over fans with his attempt to speak Kannada at the Bengaluru launch of Ramayana’s international trailer on October 15. The actor greeted the audience with “Namaskara Bengaluru” and thanked them for their love and blessings in the language. He also gave a shout-out to his co-star Yash, playfully saying he would learn more Kannada from him before his next visit. The light-hearted moment drew cheers from the audience and appreciation on social media.

At the trailer launch, Ranbir Kapoor began his speech with “Jai Shree Ram” before greeting the crowd with “Namaskara Bengaluru.” He then expressed his gratitude in Kannada, thanking the audience for their love, kind words and blessings. He went on to add, “Is baar itna hi seekh ke aaya hoon. Agli baar Yash Boss se thoda jyada seekh ke aaunga.” Ranbir’s effort to connect with the Bengaluru audience in Kannada was greeted with cheers and applause. Soon after the video surfaced online, fans were seen going gaga over him. One fan wrote, “Ranbir Kapoor called @TheNameIsYash as #YashBOSS with love…His Kannada is beautiful #Ramayana #Yash.” Another fan wrote, “Ranbir always speaks in south languages like he tries to and it’s very sweet and he looks real sweet in it.” One of the comments also read, “Ram saying Ravan as Yash Boss! Ranbir Kapoor is proper maryada purshottam in real life too.” Others were seen dropping red hearts.
Held on October 15, the Bengaluru event marked the launch of Ramayana: Rise Of A Legend’s international promotional campaign. The star-studded gathering saw Ranbir Kapoor share the stage with co-stars Sai Pallavi, Yash and Ravi Dubey, along with composer A.R. Rahman and director Nitesh Tiwari, as the film’s international trailer was unveiled.
The much-awaited film is all set to hit theatres on November 5, 2026. The second part will be released in 2027.
