Sara Gurpal, who was recently evicted from Rise and Fall, has taken to Instagram and addressed the threats she has been facing ever since she came out of the Virender Sehwag-hosted show.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, the singer revealed, “It’s been a while since I addressed you all. Rise and Fall was a one-of-a-kind experience, but what I’m witnessing after coming out of the show, especially on social media, is bizarre and disgusting.”
Further slamming those who have been constantly trolling her and addressing the vulgar language used by these users, she added, “You can agree or disagree with my opinions, but sending death and rape threats to me and my family, and making vulgar comments about my body, is absolutely shameful. Har kisi ki apni opinion ho sakti hai, but that doesn’t give you the right to threaten or abuse anyone.”
Calling these kinds of people ‘spineless’, she concluded by threatening legal action against these abusers and wrote, “Such spineless trolls must be held accountable, and strict legal action will be taken against them. Shame on you!”
Who Is Sara Gurpal?
Sara is a Punjabi actor and singer who had fights with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary just before her exit from the show. The actress is best known for her films like Manje Bistre, Shava Ni Girdhari Lal and more. She was a part of Bigg Boss 14, which was won by Rubina Dilaik. In the Rise and Fall house, the actress had one of the most talked-about fights with Gautam Gulati when she was triggered by one of his actions, which reminded her of her abusive marriage.
Back in 2020, the actress had opened up about her abusive marriage with Punjabi singer Tushar Kumar. Sara told IANS: “I think he himself said it, stating that we have been separated for almost four to five years now. It was a really abusive relationship and I think every girl has the right to move on, from something which is not (healthy). Where was he for four years? The moment ‘Bigg Boss’ began he started talking. He is the least important person in my life. If he was that important, he would have been there in my life.”
