Arshad Warsi to star in Jolly LLB 4.

Looks like Akshay Kumar will not be a part of the upcoming Jolly LLB movie. If a report by Variety India is to be believed, Arshad Warsi is all set to return as Jolly in the fourth instalment of the franchise. Reportedly, the film will be a prequel directed by Umesh Shukla. Shooting of the movie is expected to begin soon and wrap up by January 2027.

However, since Jolly LLB 4 will be a prequel to the first movie in the franchise, it remains unclear if Akshay Kumar will also be a part of it. For the unversed, the first Jolly LLB movie hit theatres in 2013 and starred Arshad Warsi as lawyer Jagdish Tyagi. Akshay Kumar wasn’t part of the first movie. He took over the lead in the second part of the franchise.

Jolly LLB 3, which released in Sepatember 2025, brought together both Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, with the actors reprising their roles as Advocate Jagdishwar ‘Jolly’ Mishra and Advocate Jagdish ‘Jolly’ Tyagi, respectively.

Directed by Subhash Kapoor, the courtroom comedy-drama follows the two rival lawyers as they find themselves fighting for justice in a case involving land grabbing and farmers’ rights. The story centres on a farmer whose land is taken over by a powerful corporation. After his death, his widow, Janki, approaches the lawyers for justice. Despite their rivalry, the two Jollys eventually join forces against powerful interests.

Apart from Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar, Jolly LLB 3 also stars Amrita Rao, Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Seema Biswas, and Gajraj Rao. It remains unclear if any of these actors will also reprise their roles for the upcoming prequel.

Meanwhile, it should be noted that no official announcement regarding Jolly LLB 4 has been made as of now.
