Zeeshan Siddique questions Mumbai security after Tiger Shroff firing incident.
NCP MLC Zeeshan Siddique has raised serious questions over Mumbai’s security arrangements following the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff, saying repeated attacks and threats against public figures point to failures in intelligence and law enforcement.
Speaking to ANI on Sunday, Siddique asked how ordinary citizens could feel secure when actors, politicians and businessmen continued to face threats and attacks in the city. His remarks came after multiple rounds were allegedly fired at Tiger Shroff’s vehicle as the actor was leaving a ground in Mumbai.
“If actors, politicians, and businessmen are not safe in Mumbai, how can the general public be?” Siddique asked.
#WATCH | Mumbai | Firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff | NCP MLC Zeeshan Ziauddin Siddique says, “Whether it is the Bishnoi gang or any other—including Anmol Bishnoi—we have made every possible effort. My family and I have urged the US government to facilitate the return of Anmol Bishnoi to India. Despite this, the Mumbai Police have not even had the opportunity to interrogate him. As for Lawrence Bishnoi, I believe he is currently held in a jail in Gujarat. We strongly advocate for his interrogation as well. If there are claims that he was involved in my father’s murder, it is crucial to uncover who the mastermind was. If actors, politicians, and businessmen are not safe in Mumbai, how can the general public be?… I have received four threats in the last two months, yet my security has not been increased. Is the government waiting for Zeeshan Siddique to be shot before they consider enhancing security? This is deeply unfortunate, and I believe the government must take the strictest possible measures…”— ANI (@ANI) October 18, 2026
Zeeshan Siddique Says He Received Four Threats In Two Months
Siddique also spoke about threats he claimed to have received recently, saying there had been four in the past two months.
Despite that, he said his security cover had not been increased.
“I have received four threats in the last two months, yet my security has not been increased. Is the government waiting for Zeeshan Siddique to be shot before they consider enhancing security? This is deeply unfortunate, and I believe the government must take the strictest possible measures,” he said.
Siddique accused the authorities of failing to respond adequately to repeated warnings and said the situation required stronger action from the state government.
“It is deeply unfortunate that such incidents are happening to actors and politicians alike. This represents an intelligence failure, and the government must be held accountable,” he added.
Tiger Shroff Escaped Unhurt In Firing Incident
According to Mumbai Police, three to four rounds were fired at Tiger Shroff’s vehicle on Sunday while he was leaving a ground in the city.
A large crowd had gathered around the area to catch a glimpse of the actor when the shots were allegedly fired from within the crowd.
Tiger escaped without injuries and did not sustain any gunshot wounds.
His driver, however, reportedly suffered injuries in the incident and was taken for medical treatment. The case falls under the jurisdiction of Juhu Police Station.
The firing has once again brought questions around security in Mumbai to the forefront, particularly in light of earlier threats and attacks involving public personalities.
Siddique said such incidents could damage public confidence in the city’s security system and called for greater accountability from the authorities.
Zeeshan Siddique Again Seeks Justice In Baba Siddique Murder
During the same interaction, Zeeshan also returned to the murder case of his father, former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was shot dead on October 12, 2024.
He said his family was still waiting for the complete conspiracy behind the killing to be uncovered.
Siddique said the family had approached the US government seeking the return of fugitive gangster Anmol Bishnoi to India so that he could be questioned in connection with the case.
“My family and I have urged the US government to facilitate the return of Anmol Bishnoi to India. Despite this, the Mumbai Police have not even had the opportunity to interrogate him,” he said.
He also called for jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is lodged in Gujarat, to be questioned as part of the investigation.
“It is crucial to uncover who the mastermind was,” Siddique said.
Linking his family’s experience with the latest firing incident involving Tiger, the NCP leader urged the state government to take stronger measures to improve public safety and address what he described as gaps in the intelligence system.
