About Amitabh Bachchan and Chiranjeevi’s work

Amitabh Bachchan and Chiranjeevi worked together in 2019 when they shared the screen in the historical action film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The megastar approached Big B to play Gosayi Venkanna in the film, but he did not speak to Big B directly. Reportedly, Chiranjeevi was hesitant to approach the Bollywood superstar and sought Jaya Bachchan’s help to convey the request.

Amitabh Bachchan reportedly accepted the role without a second thought. He also declined payment for his appearance and turned down the offer of a private jet, choosing to make his own travel and accommodation arrangements.

More About Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan made his acting debut with Saat Hindustani in 1969, playing poet Anwar Ali. In the following years, he appeared in films including Reshma Aur Shera, Parwana, Sanjog and Bansi Birju, many of which failed commercially. His performances in Anand (1971) and Bombay To Goa (1972) helped establish him as an actor to watch.

Big B, who was last seen in Vettaiyan, directed by T. J. Gnanavel, is currently busy with filmmaker Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD sequel. The film also stars Kamal Haasan and Prabhas. Kalki 2898 AD is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a group of people sets out to save a woman pregnant with Lord Vishnu’s 10th and final avatar, Kalki, from an evil supreme god-king, Yaskin.
