Hanuman Ansh continues its strong box-office run.
Hanuman Ansh continues to dominate the box office even after strong competition from films like Mirzapur, Haiwaan and Toxic, and the audience couldn’t stop praising the film. Even after so much popularity, Hanuman Ansh will not be India’s official entry for the Oscars. Why not? Producer Namrata Singh revealed.
In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the producer was asked if the movie will be dubbed in any other language except Telugu. She said, “No.” While talking about why the movie will not be India’s official entry for the Best International Feature Film category, she cited a lack of awareness as the main reason and revealed that they missed the deadline and were unaware of the submission process. “We have only dubbed it in Telugu. I am just not getting the time (laughs)! We missed the Oscar submission deadline [for consideration as India’s official entry for Best International Feature Film] yesterday (September 7), as it was the last day. We got calls from a thousand people ki aap ne film submit nahin ki. But we didn’t know about it. We are busy with too many things. Also, we are a really small team,” the producer said.
“First, we have done dubbing for Telugu and then work on the rest of the languages. We are also working on accessibility so that people of different abilities can see the film,” Singh further continued.
